KOMZ 8X30 "Baigish"

Well-built, military binoculars. Russian classic, optically good with usual green-yellow tint.

  2. Light , well made and very sharp, this independent focus eyepiece USSR 8x30 competes very successfully with the East German independent focus Deltrentis..The Ussr is more relaxing to view through and seems to have better contrast .

  3. I fully agree with Rob. I own one BPP 8x30, made in 1969. I found the Soviet binocular more relaxing to view through. I am not so sure about contrast though.
Besides, my example is also devoid of the yellowish hue usually associated with Soviet binoculars. This is interesting, because I tried other examples of the same model, produced later (70s and 80s), and found them to have the yellowish/greenish tint.
